Our committee’s responsibility is to look for partners and affiliations that the ZICT Division will work with, such as, the Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services. Zimbabwe is advancing by leaps and bounds in adoption and use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the private and public sectors. Nobody could have predicted the growth in the use of Internet and mobile devices over the past decade and yet it is a convenient and simple method of communicating to the extent that it now has its own language. The growth in the number of smartphones in Zimbabwe has also meant that most people have access to most efficient ways to interact and communicate that no other media can match. In view of the above, it is the Division’s mandate to look at the pervasiveness of ICT in Zimbabwe and run with the positive international best standards.
