LINC Africa is one of the emerging and yet promising disability networks in the African continent bringing together a rich diverse partnership of 18 disability organisations from 18 African countries (11 English speaking and 7 French speaking). Formed in 2016 with financial support from the Liliane Foundation Netherlands, the Africa network was officially launched in Kigali, Rwanda in April 2017 by 17 disability organisations each drawn from a member African country. The network has a functional Secretariat based in Zimbabwe and Rwanda.Broadly, the network seeks to promote a broader vision of societies where children with disabilities (CWDs) are fully included in all aspects of life and meaningfully participate in decisions that affect their well-being. At member level, LINC Africa objectives are to; •Strengthen joint disability programs development in all the 18 African countries, •Enhance disability programs quality and technical knowledge development and sharing among member countries. •Enhance joint resourcing to expand reach and deepen support going to persons with disabilities.
